K-4 teachers have been working hard this year to complete the required training through the READ Act. To provide them with the necessary time to complete their work, the MN state legislature allows for 5.5 hours of student instruction time to be adjusted to READ Act professional development.
In accordance, the Board approved the following change to the calendar:
The last day of school for the School of Grammar will be May 27, 2025. This will be a full day of school with a 3:00 p.m. dismissal.
May 28 will no longer be a school day for School of Grammar students. This day will be provided for K-4 teachers to complete their READ Act training.
There is no change to the School of Logic or School of Rhetoric calendars. Their last day of school is May 29, 2025, with an 11:00 a.m. dismissal.
