The Eagle Eye: 9/1/2022
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! As a reminder, there is NO SCHOOL and the office will be closed next Monday, September 5, due to Labor Day. School will resume on Tuesday, September 6.
The first Eagle Eye of the year is now available! The Eagle Eye is Eagle Ridge Academy’s translatable community newsletter that is published every other Thursday during the school year. It is a great resource to see important updates and learn what is happening around the school. Here’s a preview of what you’ll find in this week’s Eagle Eye:
- Registration for Fall Activities Opens Friday, September 2. Many school clubs are returning and new clubs and activities are starting up in the next couple of weeks. Additionally, ERA is looking for adult leaders in a number of roles, several of which have state-caliber participants: Math Team, Mock Trial, Debate/Speech, and Middle School Sports Coaches. Join our team, participate in an activity, and help us build Gryphon Activities!
- Get Involved at Eagle Ridge Academy! There are plenty of ways to help support the staff and students at Eagle Ridge Academy this year. Sign up to volunteer on school portrait days (Sept. 13-14) or another area of your interest, and save the dates for fundraising events such as Rockin’ the Ridge (Oct. 8), Give to the Max 2022 (Nov. 17), and Gala for the Gryphons: A Night of Glitz and Glamour – Honoring Traditions (Nov. 18). See inside the issue for more ways to participate in giving.
- Curriculum Nights and School Portrait Days Coming Up in September. The School of Grammar will hold their School Portrait Day on September 13 and their parents-only Curriculum Night on September 14. The Schools of Logic & Rhetoric will hold their parents-only Curriculum Night on September 8 and their School Portrait Day on September 14. Formal uniforms are required for school portraits. Learn more about these events inside the issue.
Read on for more, and have a wonderful long weekend!
