Happy Thursday! The latest issue of the Eagle Eye newsletter is now available. The Eagle Eye is Eagle Ridge Academy’s translatable community newsletter that is published every other Thursday during the school year. It is a great resource to see important updates and learn what is happening around the school. Here’s a preview of what you’ll find in this week’s newsletter:
- TODAY ONLY: Vote for Your Favorite Door in the Annual Door Decorating Contest. Every year, Eagle Ridge Academy holds its annual Door Decorating Contest. This year’s theme was Gryphon Games. All classrooms and study halls decorated their doors, interpreting the theme differently. School of Grammar students were paired up with a School of Logic or School of Rhetoric student to tour the doors together today. Prizes will be given out tomorrow, including the prize for the door “Most Liked on Social Media”. Vote for your favorite door inside the issue.
- Classical In-Action Parent Night Class Descriptions. Classes are planned and registration closing soon for our largest and most popular Classical Education event of the year! Read class descriptions and register for the event before Monday, January 6, inside the issue.
- Congratulations to Our December Pillar Award Recipients. The Schools of Logic & Rhetoric hold monthly Pillar Assemblies in which six students from each grade level in the Schools of Logic and Rhetoric are recognized for displaying CIPHER throughout the month. Students are nominated by their teachers. See this month’s recipients inside the issue.
- Consider a Year-End Gift to Eagle Ridge Academy. In the spirit of giving, please consider a year-end gift to Friends of Eagle Ridge Academy (FERA). Donations will fund Eagle Ridge Academy’s CIPHER Scholarship Program, investing in future generations of Eagle Ridge Academy scholars. Every donation matters to the students, faculty, and staff of Eagle Ridge Academy, no matter the size! Join us and be inspired about our CIPHER Scholarship program by hearing from invested members of the community inside the issue.
- Registration for the 11th Annual Donut Dash 5K Opens December 31. The entire community is invited to Eagle Ridge Academy on Saturday, May 10, for the 11th Annual Donut Dash 5K and Mini-Donut 1/2 Mile for Kids! Whether you are a runner, a walker, or a donut enthusiast, this is the event for you. - Pack the Stands for Alumni Night on January 2. Help the ERA Booster Club and ERA Alumni celebrate the 2024 ERA Championship Baseball Team on Thursday, January 2! The night will include entertainment, hot food and cold beverages for sale at concessions, and double header basketball games beginning at 4:15 p.m. Admission will be FREE for ALL ERA families and ERA alumni.
