Happy Thursday! This week’s Eagle Eye newsletter is now available! The Eagle Eye is Eagle Ridge Academy’s translatable community newsletter that is published every other Thursday during the school year. It is a great resource to see important updates and learn what is happening around the school. Here’s a preview of what you’ll find in this week’s Eagle Eye:
- RSVP to Watch a Performance from The Somali Museum Dance Troupe by November 9. Alongside an Indian dance performance from 2021 ERA alumna Sridhatri Guntipally, The Somali Museum Dance Troupe will perform at the 10th Annual Gala for the Gryphons at Hazeltine National Golf Club on Friday, November 18, 6:00-11:00 p.m. The Somali Museum Dance Troupe studies and performs traditional dances from different regions across Somalia. The night will also include a social hour, plated dinner, a live auction, Dive for Pearls, Wall of Wine, photo booth, a meaningful program, and more! - Families May Submit Photos of Veterans and Attend Veterans Day Ceremonies Next Friday, November 11. On Veterans Day, we want our students to understand what it means to be a Veteran and to honor the selfless sacrifice that so many men and women have made for our freedoms. All students are required to wear Formal Dress on Veterans Day. Grades 2-12 will attend Veterans Day ceremonies in the ERA Auditorium. We will have capacity for visitors during the Grades 2-3 (8:15-8:40 a.m.) ceremony and Grades 4-5 (8:50-9:15 a.m.) ceremony if you would like to attend. Please see inside the issue for more information on Veterans Day and to find out how you can submit a photo of your Veteran family member to include in the ceremony.
- Support Eagle Ridge Academy’s Grow Your Own Program During Give to the Max Early Giving. Give to the Max is a statewide outpouring of support for thousands of nonprofits and schools across Minnesota. The Giving Holiday is scheduled for Thursday, November 17, but you don’t have to wait to support Eagle Ridge Academy as Early Giving started November 1! This year, we are asking our community to support Eagle Ridge Academy’s new Grow Your Own program. Learn more inside the issue.
- You’re Invited to Join Eagle Ridge Academy’s Governance Working Group. The ERA Governance Working Group is seeking three-five new parent or teacher members. This group’s responsibilities include the continuous review of school governance, ensured compliance, and making recommendations to enhance the quality and the work of the Board of Directors. Find out what important work the Governance Working Group will be focusing on this year inside the issue.
