The Eagle Eye: 10/10/2024

Happy Thursday! The latest issue of the Eagle Eye newsletter is now available. The Eagle Eye is Eagle Ridge Academy’s translatable community newsletter that is published every other Thursday during the school year. It is a great resource to see important updates and learn what is happening around the school. Here’s a preview of what you’ll find in this week’s newsletter:

  • Message from Executive Director Jason Ulbrich on Political Polarization. In these times of division and political polarization, we find ourselves surrounded by heightened tension in nearly every area of public life—race, religion, politics, and even finance. As issues become more polarized, it becomes increasingly difficult to discern truth from opinion, fact from rhetoric. This is why the foundation of a Classical education is more essential now than ever before. View Mr. Ulbrich’s complete letter inside the issue.
  • School Closing and Late Start Decision-Making Process. We live in Minnesota and, on occasion, it will be necessary for Eagle Ridge Academy to cancel or start school late because of snow or severely cold temperatures. View the decision making process for closures and late starts inside the issue.
  • Classical Coffee & Tea Parent Hour: Fill Out the Interest Survey Today.Looking to learn more about Classical education and connect with other ERA families? Classical Coffee & Tea Parent Hour participants will receive a Classical education learning piece electronically prior to coming together to connect and discuss each month. Fill out the interest survey inside the issue to let us know what times work best for you so we can best match our programming to the needs of the community.
  • Support the Eagle Ridge Academy CIPHER Scholarship Program: Give to the Max Early Giving Begins November 1. Give to the Max is a statewide outpouring of support for thousands of nonprofits and schools across Minnesota. The Giving Holiday is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, but you don’t have to wait to support Eagle Ridge Academy as Early Giving begins November 1! Together, we hope to raise more than $5,000 on Give to the Max Day to support Eagle Ridge Academy’s CIPHER Scholarship Program, and you can help us reach our goal. Learn more about Give to the Max and the CIPHER Scholarship program inside the issue.
  • Interview with Corporate Sponsor and Partner Rochon Corp. Eagle Ridge Academy is privileged to have committed and generous corporate partners who support our school financially and through exemplary service. Read an interview with general contractor Rochon Corp. inside the issue.

Read on for more and have a wonderful long weekend, Gryphons!
