The Eagle Ridge Academy Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) wants YOU to join their Board! Your PTO does a lot to support the school community throughout the year including:
- Rockin’ the Ridge
- School Skate Night – Coming up on April 7!
- Festival of Treats (For teachers)
- Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
- Spirit wear sales
- Used uniform sales
- Back to school nights
The PTO election will be held during the April PTO Meeting in the Eagle Ridge Academy Forum on Monday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m. It would be great to get your input and support for the 2024-25 school year and beyond! If you are interested in nominating yourself or another person, please complete this form. The open positions are listed below, along with brief descriptions.
Vice President (2 Year Term)
- Act as an aide to the President, upon request, and assume the duties of the President during his/her absence
- Preside over the membership enrollment, including conducting an active membership campaign throughout the school year
Treasurer (2 Year Term)
- Handle all funds of the PTO and give a financial report of the collections and expenditures and call attention to any unusual items at each General and Board meeting
- Provide a written Year-to-Date and annual financial statement at each PTO general meeting
- Sign checks on behalf of the PTO
- Maintain an accurate account of all receipts, disbursements and other pertinent financial information as it pertains to events and purchases sponsored by the PTO
- Disburse funds approved by the Board, following the policies outlined herein
- File required tax forms by the end of the fiscal year
Corresponding Secretary (1 Year Term)
- Assist the Secretary in preparation of any correspondence and publicity for the organization as needed, including meeting announcements, updates, website updates, and periodic newsletters
- Maintain written contact with parents and staff
Teacher/Staff Liaison (1 Year Term) – Please note that this position must be filled by a current Eagle Ridge Academy teacher or staff member
- Act as advisor and liaison between faculty/staff and the PTO
- Help maintain open lines of communication between parents and teachers
- Report on current Teacher/Staff activities within Eagle Ridge Academy
Volunteer Coordinator (1 Year Term)
- Develop and maintain a list of volunteers compiled from a PTO questionnaire sent out at the beginning of the school year
- Disperse volunteer lists to appropriate committee chairs
- Recruit chairs and volunteers as needed for the PTO committees and events
- Maintain updated list of committees and coordinator positions and responsibilities related to each
