The Annual Moving Up Ceremony commemorates the transition from the School of Grammar to the School of Logic. This year, Eagle Ridge Academy will hold Moving Up Ceremonies for both fourth and fifth graders as the School of Logic entry year shifted from sixth grade to fifth grade this year. Both ceremonies will be held outside on the soccer fields behind the school (or inside the Auditorium if the weather is bad) on Tuesday, June 4. The Fourth Grade Ceremony will take place 11:30 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. and the Fifth Grade Ceremony will take place 1:30-3:00 p.m.

Refreshments will follow the ceremony. Families are invited to attend and should bring a blanket or lawn chairs for sitting on the grass. Designated overflow parking is available across the street at Boston Scientific. After parking, families will walk around the building to the ceremony and will not enter through the school office. Invitations containing helpful maps and other details were distributed to students and can be viewed here.

Important note regarding end-of-day pick-up: Students will return to their classrooms at the end of the day following the celebration and may not leave directly from the ceremony with their families. Please make any necessary changes in Silent Dismissal prior to the day of the event. Families picking students up will need to walk to the main entrance (Door 2) to submit their pick-up number. 5th grade students exit from the door near the gym and will need to walk to meet you at Door 2 or another spot you arrange in advance. If you are parked in the Boston Scientific parking lot, you must use the tunnel to cross under the street. There is no crosswalk on street level and the curved road makes it unsafe to cross.

We look forward to celebrating with you!
