WELCOME BACK SENIORS!
We are hitting the ground running this year with college prep! As stated in the Eagle Eye last Spring, we are hosting our first annual mandatory College Boot Camp 101 on Monday, August 28 during the regular school day from 8 am -2 pm. Teacher assistant training will be held from 2 pm – 3 pm for those students who are teacher assistants. The remainder of the students can use that time in the computer lab exploring what we learned at camp!
College expert Beth Kreusch will be leading the discussion covering topics such as college selection (the right fit), scholarships, financial aid, essay writing, the importance of demonstrated interest, and more! You will be given a folder with a plethora of information to bring home to share with your family. DON’T lose the folder. We will be referring to materials throughout the year during advisory so please bring it back to school for safe keeping in your locker.
Pizza and beverages will be served. If you have any special dietary needs, please bring a bag lunch.
