Eagle Ridge Academy earns 2018 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Silver Medal
Eagle Ridge Academy has again been named one of the best high schools in the state and the country by earning the 2018 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Silver Medal and Charter Medal. 2018 marks the third year in a row the Academy has achieved these honors, which it also received in 2016 and 2017. In 2013, 2014, and 2015, the Academy earned the Bronze Medal.
U.S. News & World Report uses a four-step criteria to determine their Best High Schools rankings. To be considered for the awards, a school must accomplish each step in sequence:
- Students must exceed expectations in state math and reading tests.
- Underserved students must perform better than the state average on these tests.
- Graduation rates must exceed U.S. News & World Report’s standard threshold of 80%.
- Students must demonstrate they are prepared for college-level coursework. This is exemplified through student participation in AP exams.
We are proud of our students for continuing to excel and achieve our mission by demonstrating their best in academic achievement, behavior, and attitude while striving to attain their highest potential.
