Dear Class of 2024 Seniors and Families,

We look forward to the graduation of our Class of 2024.  In this letter you will find important information regarding Senior Week, commencement, and the senior party.

Senior Week

Senior Week will take place May 20-23. Seniors have special events planned throughout the week to celebrate their upcoming graduation, including free dress for the week. The cost is $25 to help offset costs.

  • Monday, May 20
    • Lunch ordered in and Senior Capstone presentations.
  • Tuesday, May 21
    • Seniors will be recognized at the Senior Awards Banquet and Breakfast in the Academy Forum, 8:30-10:00 a.m. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Photos will be taken of seniors in their cap and gowns.
  • Wednesday, May 22
    • Grilled lunch hosted by the Academy’s administration.
  • Thursday, May 23
    • All-day senior field trip to Bryant Lake Park.

Commencement Rehearsal

Practice for the ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 6. Students will be released from school at 11:00 a.m. Eagle Ridge Academy will provide lunch for the seniors before they are transported to the church for the 1:00-3:00 commencement rehearsal. Transportation will be provided back to the school after rehearsal.

Commencement

The 2024 Commencement Ceremony will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, at Calvary Reformed Church, 5300 France Avenue, Edina. Seniors should arrive at the church no later than 6:15 p.m. on June 7 for the commencement ceremony. The doors for guest seating will open at 6:30 p.m.

NEW THIS YEAR – IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ: As our 2024 graduating class is nearly double that of previous years, a ticket will be REQUIRED to attend the commencement ceremony this year. There will be no open seating available without a ticket due to space constraints. Each graduate will be able to request up to six tickets for the ceremony. PLEASE COMPLETE THE TICKET ORDER FORM BY MONDAY, MAY 6, TO REQUEST TICKETS: TICKET ORDER FORM. If your family requires more than six tickets, you will be able to enter a lottery to request unused tickets. Your tickets will be available for pick up at the Senior Awards Breakfast on Tuesday, May 21.

Senior Party

Traditionally, the parents of the seniors have hosted a senior party following commencement. This is not a school-sponsored event, but we would be happy to facilitate communication among the parents. Please tell us if you wish to be involved in the senior party’s planning, and we will share the information with the rest of the senior class.
