The Eagle Eye: 11/30/2023
Happy Thursday! The latest issue of The Eagle Eye is now available. The Eagle Eye is Eagle Ridge Academy’s translatable community newsletter that is published every other Thursday during the school year. It is a great resource to see important updates and learn what is happening around the school. Here’s a preview of what you’ll find in this week’s Eagle Eye:
- Message from Executive Director Jason Ulbrich on Updated Minnesota State Statutes. Every other year, the MN legislature makes statute changes that impact MN school policy. Usually there are three or four changes that impact schools, however, in 2023, the MN legislature made at least 32 statute changes that impact MN school policies. Read more from Mr. Ulbrich and view the updated MN state statutes inside the issue.
- Over $60,000 Raised at this Year’s Gala for the Gryphons. Whether you joined us at the event, participated through the silent auction or sponsorship, donated an in-kind item or service, or donated an outright cash gift, we extend our thanks for pushing us to be better and achieve our goals. Browse the full photo album – including photos of our two special guest llamas – inside the issue.
- Watch the Eagle Ridge Academy 20th Anniversary Video – Made by an ERA Parent. ERA parent and filmmaker DeMarcus Williams created a 20th anniversary video for Eagle Ridge Academy that premiered at the Gala for the Gryphons. The video includes throwback pictures, interviews with ERA co-founder Dr. Kenneth Greener, Executive Director Jason Ulbrich, 20-year employees Principal Erin Johnson, Lisa Johnson, and Carolyn Sommers Tillotson, and more. Watch the full video inside the issue.
- Sign Up for Classical Parent Book Study. Join Eagle Ridge Academy Classical Coordinator Suzannah Toso for an upcoming Classical Parent Book Study. Books will be distributed in January and parents will gather together in February to discuss. Find out which books will be read and sign up for this opportunity inside the issue.
