The latest issue of the Eagle Eye of the year is now available! The Eagle Eye is Eagle Ridge Academy’s community newsletter that is published every other Thursday during the school year. Here’s a preview of what you’ll find inside this issue:

• Fall Parent Teacher Conferences are Next Week. Fall Parent Teacher Conferences will take place in person at ERA and virtually next Monday, October 18, 12:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 19, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. During Fall Conferences, the PTO will be running a Used Uniform Sale in the ERA Forum on Monday, October 18, 12:00-8:00 p.m. The Used Uniform Sale needs volunteers! Sign up here. The Usborne Book Fair will also take place at ERA during conferences on October 18 and 19 in the 7th grade locker area. The Usborne Book Fair needs volunteers! Sign up here. School of Grammar Counselor Mr. Zac MacLean will hold two Social-Emotional Learning family sessions in person and one virtual session over Zoom for grades K-5 families on October 18 and 19. These sessions are called Helping Your Child Face Challenges. Topics to be discussed include handling transition, parent-child relationship building, conflict, and more.

• Come See Lower School Play Snow White: The Fair Queen’s Daughter this Weekend! Upper School Play Arsenic and Old Lace Has Been Postponed. Performances for the grades 2-6 fall play written by Max Bush and directed by Ms. Sylvia Michels will take place outside at ERA on October 16 at 4:00 p.m. and October 17 at 12:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door. Upper School play  Arsenic and Old Lace has been postponed. More information on the rescheduled performances coming soon.

• Register for Grades K-12 Basketball Today. Registration is open for grades K-6 Gryphon Youth Basketball, grades 4-7 Boys and Girls Basketball, and grades 7-12 Boys and Girls C team, JV, and Varsity Basketball. Register today. A Winter Eligibility/Mandatory Team Meeting for all aspiring 7th-12th grade Varsity, JV and C team boys and girls basketball players will take place at ERA on Wednesday, November 3, 6:00-7:00 p.m.

• The 2022-2023 Enrollment Period Has Begun. If your current ERA student has a sibling or foster sibling that you wish to enroll for the 2022-2023 school year, please make sure to fill out an application for each child you wish to enroll before the deadline to ensure that they will be included in the Enrollment Lottery on January 18. Know a family interested in learning more about ERA? Invite them to our Fall Enrollment Extravaganza on November 6, 9:00-11:00 a.m.! The Enrollment Extravaganza is an opportunity to hear from our teachers and current families, see the building, experience the curriculum, and ask questions.
