The Eagle Eye: 2/11/2021

The latest issue of the Eagle Eye newsletter is ready to read! This year, the Eagle Eye is being published on Smore, a platform that allows newsletters to be translated into any language on Google Translate. We are hoping this allows important school information to be shared with even more of our families.

Here’s a preview of what you’ll find inside the newest issue:

  • View the CONCEPTUAL designs for Eagle Ridge Academy’s Playscape and Grounds Beautification Project. The ERA Playscape and Grounds Commission has partnered with Three Owls Play Consultants, LLC, experts in designing outdoor areas. They have created two conceptual designs for our consideration. We encourage you to take some time to look over the designs and complete a survey to share your input.
  • One Act Play Now Available to View. The cast and crew of this year’s One Act Play Carry On, written by School of Rhetoric junior Lydia Feitl, finished fourth overall out of 26 schools at Sections. The play was directed by Gabriel Berg and stars students Muthuvignesh Meenakshisundaram, Violet Nus, Grace Soerens, Isabelle Castaneda, and Thomas Dudgeon.
  • ERA Mock Trial Team Competing Tonight to go to MN State Tournament. Congratulations to ERA Team White for a great season and Team ERA for advancing to Round 5, which is composed of the top 12 teams in our region, all vying for the six spots in the Minnesota State Tournament in early March. Team ERA will compete against Chesterton Academy tonight, Feb. 11, at 5:30 p.m., with the winner going to the State Tournament. Good luck, Team ERA!
  • Pennies for Patients Fundraiser Will Take Place Online, February 16-26. Pennies for Patients raises money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The two Lower School classes and one Upper School first-hour class that raises the most money will get classroom parties!
  • Take a Sneak Peek at Items Up for Bid at this Year’s Gala for the Gryphons Silent Auction. This year’s Gala for the Gryphons: “A Night of MaskERAise!” will take place virtually on Friday, Feb. 26, 7:00-8:00 p.m. There is still time to register! The Silent Auction will be online this year and will be open Feb. 19-March 3 to allow a wider audience to enjoy and bid.
