The Eagle Eye: 12/17/2020
This last Eagle Eye newsletter of 2020 is ready to read! This year, the Eagle Eye is being published on Smore, a platform that allows newsletters to be translated into any language on Google Translate. We are hoping this allows important school information to be shared with even more of our families.
Here’s a preview of what you’ll find inside the newest issue:
- Executive Director Jason Ulbrich will be recommending to the ERA Board of Directors that the Lower School begin a rolling start in-person opening on Jan. 19. On Dec. 18, Governor Walz announced that “elementary” schools (K-6) may return to school in-person as soon as Jan. 18 if they follow certain restrictions. Join us for a Gryphon Conversation tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. to discuss this plan with administration.
- Virtual Winter Enrollment Extravaganza on Jan. 7. Our 2021-2022 Enrollment Lottery will take place on Jan. 19, 2021. If you have friends, family members, or colleagues looking to enroll their children in an amazing school, please invite them to join us at our Virtual Winter Enrollment Extravaganza on Thursday, Jan. 7.
- School of Grammar Lunch Bunch & January Family Counseling Sessions. Beginning in January, there will be a purely social “Lunch Bunch” option for grades 3-5 via Zoom each Monday, chaperoned by K-5 School Counselor Zac MacLean. He will also be holding more family counseling sessions on Jan. 12 along with 6-12 School Counselor Jean Soule.
- Advanced Virtual Chess Starts Jan. 5. Classes will take place after school on Tuesdays through the end of May. Grades 1-6 are invited to register now.
